This post was a long time coming. No self-proclaimed snuser can ignore the impact General portions have on the snus community. It doesn’t matter who I talk to about snus, two names always come up: General Snus and Thunder Frosted. That being said, they’re definitely deserving of their popular status.

It seems that General White Snus has become ubiquitous in the snus community as the standard. I originally was not its biggest fan, being spoiled by General Onyx, but as supply dried up in the States, I found myself searching for an alternative. General White fits the bill down to a T.

I have always enjoyed popping a tin of General, as for me this brand represents consistency and the gold standard of quality. Everything about General is perfect, from that star pattern arrangement to the reliable citrus and high grade tobocco notes, and finally, to that pepper aftertaste.

The comfort is fantastic. I love the feel of the portion because it strikes the right balance between soft and rough. If portions are too soft then they can become squidgy and move around too much, whereas when portions are rough, I find my gums to be prone to inflamation and irritation. These portions, however, strike dead middle. The taste is sublime in its simplicity. It has a delicious tobacco profile with a sharp citrus snap cutting right through.

I won’t go on about it all night, but I will say that if you are a serious snuser, you’ve probably already tried it, and if you’ve been hesitant or haven’t gotten around to it: believe the hype. It is that good.

Conclusion: A great taste and balance with a non-invasive citrus profile. Get some.
